Advanced Temporal Extraction and Reasoning System

The ATERS project consisted of work on an Advanced Narrative Analytics System Infrastructure (ANAnSI). ANAnSI utilizes CoreNLP to process linguistic annotations from text. It then develops semantic nodes creating relationships between words and phrases based on their lemmas. These node are part of a larger unstructured Neo4J graph database, which is the final output of ANAnSI. Our involvement was with the temporal aspects of ANAnSI. We worked to fix temporal relation bugs and resolve complex temporal expressions so that the proper chronological order of events was preserved.
