Computer Science Capstone II Summer 2026

MyLittleLibrary

A reading tracker meant to encourage users to read different types of literature. It provides a space in which they can keep track of what they have read, whether it be a novel, short story, poem, manga, graphic novel, textbooks, research papers, etc. The user is able to keep track of their status, thoughts while reading, and a tagging system will be provided to organize their stories. The interface (a bookshelf) changes to reflect the size of the library being built. The user will also have access to a detailed insights page providing them with statistics on their reading habits. Additional features that would be interesting to add would be: - a section for the user to add their own small stories (a random topic generator could be added onto this to provide the user with ideas (1, 2, or 3 topics)) - a resources section that breaks down literary jargon - an integrated dictionary (through the Merriam-Webster API) so the user can check definitions or mark works they find interesting throughout their journey.
